About us

The Nigerian Journal of Science and Environment (NJSE) is the official journal of the Faculty of Science, Delta State University, Abraka Nigeria and publishes original peer-reviewed research manuscripts in pure and applied sciences. The journal is designed to contribute towards the promotion of science particularly in the developing countries of the world. Manuscripts on environmental, physical and biological sciences with particular reference to the African continent are highly welcome.

Editorial Policies

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to NJSE undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Each submission is initially evaluated by the editorial team to assess its suitability and adherence to journal guidelines. Manuscripts passing the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, significance, methodology, and clarity of presentation. The final editorial decision is based on the reviewers' recommendations and the editorial team's assessment.

Ethical Standards

NJSE adheres to the highest ethical standards in academic publishing. The journal follows the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors are expected to ensure that their work is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration by any other journal. All forms of plagiarism, data fabrication, and unethical research practices are strictly prohibited.
